The Rise of Enterprise Mobility – Apps, Platforms and Devices
One could argue enterprise IT strategy has been affected more so than another industry by the rise of mobile devices, smartphones and most recently, tablets, being the primary drivers of disruption.
Each company, line of business and employee all have their devices and applications of choice and because of this, IT departments have encountered tremendous security, application, and software management.

- The top 3 drivers of enterprise mobility adoption are cost savings (63%), productivity concerns (51%) and employee request/needs (50%)
- The iPhone is the most preferred smartphone in the enterprise at 45%
- Business apps were the fastest growing section in the Apple App Store from 2009 to 2010, up 186%
- A 263% growth in branded apps.
