Lady Gaga NOT giving an iPad 2 to her Twitter followers and Facebook fans
Dec 21, 11
Lady Gaga, followed by 17 million on Twitter and “Liked” by 45 million on Facebook, was the victim of a hacking scheme which promised an iPad 2 to each of her Twitter followers and fans on Facebook.
After learning of the attack and reassuming control of her account, Lady Gaga posted the following message:
“Phew. The hacking is over! And just in time, I’m on my way to Japan! So excited to spend Xmastime with my TokyoMonsters!”
Had the offer in fact been real, the cost of providing a $499 WiFi-only iPad 2 to the 62 million combined fans would have cost Lady Gaga over $31 million dollars!
