The first iPhone was unveiled by Apple CEO Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007, subsequently released on June 29, 2007.
Following the first generation iPhone, each of the 4 models (3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S) released have been groundbreaking in a variety of ways, with the device’s market share growing at a rapid pace.
Dutch blog TopTienMobile has compiled the infographic below demonstrating the remarkable rise of the iPhone and how it’s grown in popularity, from the the first generation selling 700k in its first weekend to the iPhone 4S selling a staggering 4 million devices in its first weekend.
