A DIY cash register using Square and an iPad

Square, the mobile payement system created by Twitter co-founder (now Executive Chairman of product) Jack Dorsey, is a tremendous product for individuals and business seeking a better, less expensive, way to accept payments using iOS and Android devices.

For those with a brick and mortar business, an iPad and Square, it’s possible to create a slick-looking cash register like the one pictured at left, using products found at a hardware store.
