In the 5th episode of the show’s 23rd season titled, “The Food Wife,” The Simpsons mock not only video game conventions, but also food blogs.
The episode’s plot follows Homer as he takes Bart and Lisa to a video game convention for a fun Saturday outing. Upon returning, Marge feels upset that Homer is “fun dad”, while she’s stuck doing mom things.
Marge, on the following Saturday, decides to take them to a “X-Games” convention, which unfortunately turns out to be a Christian event. On the way back, her car engine dies. They wander into Little Ethiopia. Bart and Lisa get hungry so the three go into “Haile Delicious Ethiopian Food” restaurant.
There’s more, but the real fun for fans of Angry Birds occurs at the very beginning of the episode where Homer, Bart and Lisa visit the E4 convention, and see “Furious Fliers,” the animated series’ take on Angry Birds:

A few months ago, I was still a bit skeptic as too how long the Angry Birds trend could continue. However, the guys at Rovio have managed to keep the brand in the public spotlight long enough for the game to become a classic. And when the Simpsons feature something, you know it’s mainstream and everyone talks about it.
