5 iPhone Apps I Can’t Live Without
Hello, I’m Marshall. By way of introduction to my first post for C4 Universe I want to focus on a device I love, the iPhone, and 5 apps for the iPhone I can’t live without. In doing so, hopefully you’ll learn a little bit about me and discover new apps that may help you as much as they do me.
Admittedly I really love my iPhone. Since the launch of the first iPhone, my love of the device has admittedly gotten out of control, finding me purchasing every iPhone model released. Below is a list I have compiled after a lot of research and personal experience concerning my 5 favorite iPhone apps.
I consider myself a very good cook and for me cooking for the family every weekend has become kind of a ritual. Always on the lookout for a reliable cooking app and in the process losing money on disappointing apps, one of my friends told me about How to Cook Everything for iPhone. I have been able to find all the exotic dishes that I ever wished for like classic roast turkey, traditional Chinese cuisines, Japanese sushi, and all the other different dishes that I never even heard of. All the recipes have complete timing charts which make the cooking a lot more perfect. You must try this app if you are a budding chef like me.
One of the aspects of my selected employment I find most difficult is taking and participating in phone calls, and responding to written communication from clients when driving. With Dragon Dication that problem has been solved. With the app, I can now answer all my emails and other messages by simply dictating them to my phone. The app converts the voice into text and then I send the messages. Dragon Dictation is available for use on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, requiring iOS 4.0 or later, meaning you don’t have to have an iPhone 4s with Siri to use similar voice commands to get things done.
As I have told you that I am on the road a lot of times and often have to go to newer places in search of new business opportunities. Doing so creates the problem of finding fuel stations when I run out of gas. Thanks to SmartFuel, that problem has been solved forever. The app offers a free trial period of 30 days. After the first 30 days, continue getting up to date price information through SmartFuel for just $2.99!
Career oriented individuals who want to network and keep their name top of mind for potential employers use LinkedIn. That said, one often lacks the time to login on a CPU to reply to messages or expressions of interest from others. Using the Linkedin app on the go keeps me informed about social activities occurring in my professional network.
Lastly, I have started using mobile VoIP by installing an iPhone app for VoIP on my cell phone. This saves me tons of money and I can get hooked to anyone by just connecting my phone to a wireless internet connection. I use Axvoice as my regular phone service and for that I need to have a good UI based VoIP app.
Those are the iPhone apps I can’t live without, which no doubt differ from your favorites.

You are right. Linkedin is definitely a useful social media site but they don’t offer many features in their free account. Until now, they have not been able to offer any calling services as facebook and google have offered in their sites.
Yes besides linkedin, there are many providers who have offered calling facility on their websites. However, right now these offers have not been very successful. Majority of the world still preferres ordinary VoIP phones for their calls.
I agree with Garrett. Although, social medial sites like face book and google plus have offered free video calling service but I don’t their offers have been very popular. Most of them have tried to replace the regular VoIP service providers but failed badly.
Actually demand for a device that is specified for making and receiving calls will always remain there. Social medial sites offer video communication but that is not used by the serious businessmen. Most of these businessmen prefer regular phone services like mobiles and VoIP phones.
Well I would not agree with all that. Although, regular phone methods like VoIP and many other are more popular but that does not mean, you have no right to introduce anything new in the market. Right now, video calls on google plus and face book are very popular among the teens.
Actually, you need a lot of bandwidth for video calls via facebook and gtalk. In an office, a regular voip phone is a better solutions. You can use VoIP phone service on an ordinary broadband connection. Besides that, with a regular VoIP phone service, staff would not get any chance to spend time on facebook.
