Place your Apple iPad in Bernie Madoff’s pants

Bernie Madoff, the former stock broker, investment advisor, and non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, will forever be known as the person behind one of, if not the, largest Ponzi schemes in history.  But did you also know his pants, rather those he used to wear, now can be had to cover another tool, an Apple iPad?

It’s true.  For the “low” price of $250-$500 one can purchase from Frederick James  a limited edition, one-of-a-kind iPad cases made from Madoff’s designer dungarees from the likes of Ralph Lauren or J. Crew.

According to Forbes,

“An initial batch of these unique accessories were fashioned from a navy Dior sweater and a vest from Bergdorf Goodman. They sold out in a day. A Wall Street lawyer bought five at $500 apiece to give as Christmas gifts.”

At $250 some of the cases are half the price of the least expensive iPad.  A case at $500 will equal the cost of the least expensive iPad.  Quite steep for a case if you ask us.  Then again if you have the funds and are into weird memorabilia, we can see the appeal of purchasing such an item.

The question is, what about you?  Would you purchase one of the cases made from the trousers of the criminal ex stock trader?
